　日頃よく目にする世界地図は、全てを平面上に表現しているため、ある程度の歪みがある。だが、それが実際どれほどのものなのか意識したことがあるだろうか？

　数年前、一般的な世界地図に描かれた各国の大きさと、実際の大きさを比較した動画が公開されていたのだが、その件に関して海外掲示板で盛り上がりを見せていた。

　世界地図に表現された大きさだと思っていたら、思っていたほど大きくなかった国が結構あるのだ。
