Here Are 40 Really Bad Cat Drawings To Make You Laugh

According to an artist: “My name is Ainars and I’m the creator of @dailypurrr on Instagram.

More than three years ago, I figured out that I wanted to make silly cat doodles and do them every day. That’s how dailypurrr started. But before that, I had dozens of failed attempts to create something that would bring some fun to people around the internet.

This time, I decided that I would be silent until I’d made my first 50 cat drawings. When that happened, my friends and family got to know that I was secretly making low-quality cat doodles.

One month later, I was going to sleep and had about 500 followers on my Instagram page and was hoping that in three upcoming months, until the New Year, I would have my first 1000 followers. But… Life is full of surprises.

When I woke up, there were 1100 followers. I refreshed the page—1200, refreshed it once again—1300… I was shocked and decided to ask where all these people got to know about my page. It turned out that 9GAG made a post about my drawings.

That was a life-changing moment and my page got its first 10 or 20 thousand followers, which led to huge interest in my page.”

Artist Matt McCarthy Uses Photoshop To Create Surreal Giant Cat Landscapes

Nowadays, it would be hard to imagine photo editing without Photoshop as it comes in handy not only for professional but also for personal use. People use it for a lot of things, from creating designs to making themselves look better for pitch-perfect Instagram photos.

Probably most of us will also agree that this software is a mighty tool that helps people to unleash their creativity and make magical, augmented reality images that would be impossible using only photography. And when it comes to creating magical, otherworldly images, one of the first things that come to our minds is photo manipulation.

So what’s a better way to make use of this advanced technology if not making some well-loved cat edits? US-based artist Matt McCarthy did just that, combining the best of two worlds into his surrealistic giant cat images that have stolen the internet.

“The idea initially came to me as I was observing my own cats when they were playing with a bug that entered our house. I wondered how they would react if my wife and I were that small. They’re so sweet and cuddly that we tend to forget they’re apex predators.

I also think their personalities are good surrogates for human personalities, so I often use them to express some of my own emotions: anxiety, pettiness, stubbornness.

I strive for uncanny surrealism. I want to make pictures that feel very familiar to the viewer, yet are slightly off,” artist told Bored Panda.

This Artist Can Sneak Her Cats Into Any Painting And It’s Hilarious

Few would argue if we said that pets are an endless source of joy and happiness in our lives. Therefore, there is no surprise people are trying to immortalize them in every way possible.

This Aussie painter, Vanessa Stockard, found the best way to do that by sneaking her three adorable cats, Kevin The Kittin, his mom Fluff Ferstenberg and the head of the adorable fluff family, Satan, into her paintings.

Stockard’s process includes pieces developed without visual reference but rather from memory. These narratives incorporate domestic pets such as cats and dogs, juxtaposing the anthropomorphic nature of these animals are given by society, she infuses the personification of virtue and vice into the everyday canine and feline status quo.

Cats with their fluffy comical exteriors yet instinctual urge to kill and a tendency to be cruel to their prey, dogs with their providence of happiness and friendship flung back to Churchill’s metaphor for depression. Despite this not-so -cheerful description of her works, Stockard manages to make her art somehow quirky and very enjoyable!
